4^th Annual Middle Tennessee Reef Club (MTRC) Frag Swap - January 19, 2008

What: 4th Annual MTRC Frag Swap When: January 19, 2008. 12:00 - 4:00pm Central Time. Where: Pleasant Green Recreation Center in Goodlettsville, TN. A map and directions are on the poster. Admission Fee: Admission is $5 for the general public or $3 if you can show current membership in a reef club. The event is FREE for MTRC members and children under 12. Each person admitted will receive a coupon for a free appetizer at the Aquarium Restaurant at Opry Mills (while supplies last) and a door prize ticket. Table Fee: The table fee is $25 for a full table, and $15 for ½ table. Each reef club that is sending members can have one table for free for their club members. To arrange for a table, contact the Reef Central member "crumbletop." Raffle Tickets: Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the event. Tickets are $1 each or 25 for $20. Speaker: Our special guest speaker, Dr. Ronald L. Shimek, Ph.D. will be speaking on the state of the world's coral reefs and some things we, as hobbyists, can do to help preserve them. Next Wave 2008 - January 26, 2008

The Dallas / Fort Worth Marine Aquarium Society (DFWMAS) Presents: Next Wave 2008 January 26, 2008 - 9am - 5pm Everyone is encouraged to attend Next Wave 2008! -- Think of this conference as going to Reefkeeping College for a day. Five speakers are being flown in to instruct attendees on successful saltwater care. After each presentation, which will be in the form of slides, PowerPoint, or video, attendees can ask questions from the speakers about the subject being discussed. Don't miss your chance to gain knowledge that will last you a lifetime! Presented by the Atlanta Reef Club (ARC) & MASNA, MACNA XX is the premier aquarium conference focused on the hobbyist and the industry that serves it. MACNA is the largest hobbyist marine conference in North America. Vendors with new aquarium products will often wait until MACNA to release their products into the hobby.
